Try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or even a small bit of nail polish remover. However, try the nail polish remover on a spot that no one can see so you can make sure it won’t harm the finish of your floor.

Rule of thumb: shoes off at the door. Works in my house.

    As seen in airports:
Take a tennis ball and put it on the end of a pole (broom)
Rub tennis ball across the mark and it will come off.

Here are some great tips for cleaning your scuff marks and other stains that you may have land on your floor.

These tips are not recommended for carpeting.

    * You can use products that are petroleum solvent or other solvent based cleaners. Use them as they are directed by the manufacturer. They should help to remove any type of stain you have.
    * Mr. Clean Magic Erasers really are helpful. These are ideal for cleaning up scuff marks on your flooring. You just need to wet them, wring them out and apply a bit of pressure to the eraser on the stain. Usually, they will pull the stain right off.
    * Use WD 40 on the heel mark. Apply to the stain lightly and then wipe the area up with a clean paper towel.
    * You can also use a large sized pencil eraser on some of your flooring. These will easily pull off the scuff marks making them easy to remove.
    * Wash the area with a floor cleaning solution as you normally would. Use a non abrasive brush to scrub off the mark. Be careful not to use anything that may actually cause the area to become scratched or damaged.
    * Use 3 tablespoons of TSP, or tri-sodium phosphate to clean up the area. This needs to be done carefully and only when you are wearing gloves. You can find this product in the paint department of your local hardware store. Do not use this on any painted surface, wood surface or semi gloss area.
